The California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame was established in 1985 to honor legendary people who exemplify California's innovative spirit and have made their mark in the homebuilding industry.
Our special Hall of Fame award is presented to individuals who has made exceptional contributions to the homebuilding industry. Inductees come from all walks of the industry and have made distinguished achievements as homebuilders, architects, developers, urban designers, marketers, real estate, philanthropy, and public service.
One of the most valued aspects of this gathering is the sociability and opportunity to interact and connect as we honor incoming Hall of Fame Inductees.
California Homebuilding Foundation golf tournaments help expand programs such as the Donald Chaiken–Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA), a high school training curriculum, and the Foundation’s graduate and postgraduate scholarship program. Each tournament is co-hosted with leading industry organizations who believe in the mission and vision of the Foundation. Annual tournaments take place in Northern and Southern California in communities we serve.
With the growing importance of long-term improvements in the diversity, equity, and inclusion representation within homebuilding industry workforce, and communities we build, the Workforce Diversity Mixer brings awareness to programs provided by the California Homebuilding Foundation and California Building Industry Association (CBIA) Professional Women in Building, highlighting the advancement of professional opportunities for women, people of color, and students of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
The California Homebuilding Foundation stages two 'Music for a Cause Benefit Concerts' each year, one in San Diego county and in Northern California. Summer concerts are an inspirational and creative way to unify Foundation programs and services, valuing the importance of construction education and training for California and its future workforce. The event might look similar to any number of concerts you've attended, but this is more than just music, it is your opportunity to show-up for a student in a construction training program, your community and our industry– complete with local beers, great wines, savory eats, and networking with industry peers.
You are invited to join or sponsor an evening of fine wines and delectable gourmet fare benefiting the Donald Chaiken BITA program. This event offers you a chance to give back by supporting a program that encourages students to pursue careers in our industry, while networking with friends and colleagues.
