Founded by Dave and Lori Sanson, over the past 25 years DeNova Homes has earned a reputation as one of the most respected homebuilders in Northern California, specializing in all areas of residential development from land entitlement to the construction of both multifamily and single-family communities. Their approach is simple: address each community individually by incorporating the unique characteristics of the surrounding area, and commit to building only the very best — a sentiment that the Building Industry Association has reaffirmed with numerous awards, including Builder of the Year.

High school sweethearts, together Dave and Lori attended California State University, Chico; Dave double-majoring in Construction Management/Business and Lori in Business Administration. After receiving their degrees, they went to work with Lori’s father in his real estate development company and in 1989 embarked upon their own adventure, incorporating DeNova Homes and committing to Building a Better Community.

The husband-and-wife team are hands-on leaders. Dave orchestrates all aspects of business planning, land acquisition and financing while Lori, a licensed Real Estate Broker, oversees all BRE, sales, marketing and property management functions.

In addition to their business responsibilities, they are enthusiastic philanthropists, holding seats on the Board of Directors of HomeAid Northern California. For their philanthropy they have received awards from The San Francisco Business Times, The Red Cross, BIA Bay Area and Diablo Magazine. Additionally, Dave is currently Chairman of the Board for BIA Bay Area and a Board Member of CBIA.
