Mr. Donald Jacobs, the president of JZMK Partners, is responsible for the overall direction of the firm as well as the business development. For over two decades, he has served as the principal in charge of numerous award-winning single family, condominium, senior housing, custom residences and mixed-use projects for JZMK Partners. In addition, he has designed more than 100 custom homes in his practice at The Sea Ranch, prior to joining the firm. Don’s work has been published in a variety of international architectural magazines and books.
Don speaks extensively on high density and senior housing at conventions such as ULI, NAHB, PCBC, and the Multi-Housing World Convention. Mr. Jacobs is also involved in teaching senior housing design to professionals for NCAASH. His civic and professional involvements include being the 1996 Chair of the National AIA Housing Committee and serving as a liaison with the National AIA Construction Documents Committee. He is actively involved with the BIA and recently was named Volunteer Fund Raiser of the year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Don serves on the Board of Directors for HomeAid America, and is a member of the Education Committee for the Senior Housing Council.
Don is NCARB certified and is currently licensed in 14 states. Mr. Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati where he graduated in 1967.
